Spokeo is the cheapest of the three to see a full report, $19.95 for one month or $14.95/mo on a 3-month plan (as of September 2026), but its standard membership stops at contact, address and relative data. BeenVerified costs the most per month ($36.89 after a paid 7-day trial) and takes the widest set of inputs, including username, vehicle and IP address. TruthFinder ($28.99/mo, or $70.99 per 3 months) leads on court and criminal records and is the only one with unlimited reports. All three are US-only memberships that auto-renew. Revealer sits in a different lane: a free redacted preview, paid plans from $12.99/mo, and identifier-first search (an email or username across 800+ platforms) rather than name-first records.

Seven criteria, applied the same way to all four columns:
- Inputs. What the search box accepts.
- Free session. What you see before the paywall.
- Price to a full result. Cheapest monthly path to an unredacted report, plus the prepay rate.
- Leaving. Cancellation routes, refunds, auto-renewal.
- API. Programmatic access without a sales call.
- Coverage. What sources the vendor claims, and whether a username or email works as input.
- Removal. How a listed person gets suppressed, and how long the vendor says it takes.
Nothing is weighted; the "which one for which job" section does the ranking.
What you can search by
Spokeo's homepage bar takes a name, email, phone or address. Its FAQ lists a fifth type, username, which its help center says "can yield" public profiles on social networks, dating sites and forums. Court and historical record searches are add-on purchases.
BeenVerified has the widest front door: tabs for people, phone, email, address and username, plus vehicle, property and IP address fields. Username search is described as combing "hundreds of social media sites". Every plan includes every search type.
TruthFinder is name-first. Its help center lists name, phone, address and email, flags reverse address and reverse email as "only available with subscription", and sells reverse phone and reverse email as separate memberships. No username search is listed as of September 2026.
Revealer accepts an email, a username, a phone number or a name, and username search is the main product, not a side tab: it checks 800+ platforms. An email lookup works the same way and pairs with a breach lookup. Every search runs live, in real time, at the moment you run it, against public sources and endpoints Revealer does not own, and Revealer does not retain your search data. Credentials in breach results are redacted on every plan; no tier shows plaintext passwords or hashes.
What the free step shows
Spokeo is the only one of the three with a real free layer: basic results "may include the city and state, age, relatives, and locations". Everything past that is paid, and Spokeo "cannot guarantee that a trial will be offered during the sign up process".
BeenVerified is direct: "BeenVerified doesn't offer a free trial". It sells a paid 7-day trial (BeenVerified's own page describes $1 trials for new customers; the exact amount shows at checkout), capped at 100 reports, then bills the plan you picked at full price.
TruthFinder's help article "Is TruthFinder Free?" answers no and adds that it "does not offer a free trial through any third-party site". You can start a name search; the report sits behind a membership.
Revealer's free tier is a redacted preview with no card: 50 People Reveal lookups a day, plus 10 social and 10 breach lookups. You see that a match exists and its shape; paid plans remove the redaction.

- TruthFinder: People Search is $28.99/mo month to month, or $70.99 per 3 months ($23.66/mo). Its help center quotes slightly different figures ($28.33/mo, or $22.44/mo on 3 months), so treat the checkout screen as the truth.
- Revealer: from $12.99/mo (Starter), $29.99/mo (Basic), $79.99/mo (Pro, adding full Device Exposures (50 a day), 500 social lookups a day, unlimited breach lookups, and API access with 3 whitelisted IPs). Enterprise is contact sales.
Prepaying a quarter narrows the gap: Spokeo $14.95, TruthFinder $23.66 and BeenVerified $23.98 per month. All three charge the term up front and renew for the same term until you cancel.
Cancelling and refunds
Spokeo cancels from the account page or the contact form. Its payment policy is the strictest of the three: "All sales of all Spokeo premium content are final", plans are prepaid and non-refundable, and mid-term cancellations are not prorated. A trial must be cancelled before 11:59 PM PT on its last day.
BeenVerified cancels from My Account, live chat, the contact form, email, or phone with your 9-digit membership ID. Its pricing page promises to "help you out or offer a refund"; the terms say refunds are "case-by-case" and "typically limited to receipt of a single refund per subscription".
TruthFinder cancels from the Subscriptions page in your account, or by phone on weekdays, 7am to 4pm PT. It bills every 30 days and says you "will not receive a refund (with few exceptions)".
Revealer plans are billed monthly and cancel anytime, with a 7-day money-back window on the first charge. Current terms are on pricing.
Mobile apps
BeenVerified has the most: iPhone and iPad, Apple Watch and Android, with in-app subscriptions. TruthFinder has iOS and Android apps. Spokeo is the odd one out: one help article describes an Android-only app for existing customers that cannot take purchases, while another says there is no app and walks iPhone users through a home screen shortcut. Revealer is a web app that runs in any phone browser.
Getting yourself removed
Spokeo: paste the profile URL into its opt-out page, enter an email, click the confirmation link. The opt-out page says 24 to 48 hours; the FAQ says one business day. Each listing is a separate request.
BeenVerified: find your record on the opt-out page, select it, confirm by email. No account, no fee, and the change shows "in most cases" within 24 hours. The tool removes one record per request; extra records go through its privacy email. It only covers People Search results, so your name can still surface in phone or address reports.
TruthFinder: the opt-out link lands on the PeopleConnect Suppression Center, which covers TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, Intelius and US Search in one pass. Enter an email, click the verification link, choose your report. Free, no account, but it only suppresses the name-search report; the same details "may continue to appear" in phone, address or email reports. Its help FAQ says records typically stop appearing within a few days.
Revealer: we hold no data to delete, so removal means suppression at the search layer. A verified email is suppressed automatically within 24 hours; usernames, phone numbers and names go through manual review, about four weeks. Start at opt-out.
US-only scope
Spokeo's FAQ says its phone and name search "only supports numbers and addresses from the United States". BeenVerified's FAQ: "Our services only provide information on US-based people." TruthFinder's help center: its tools "only search available records in the United States". Revealer is a US company; its username and email lookups follow the identifier to whichever platform holds it.

The line all four share
Revealer.US is not a consumer reporting agency. Its results are not consumer reports and may not be used for employment, tenant, credit, insurance, or other FCRA-covered eligibility decisions.
The other three print the same disclaimer in almost the same words. None of the four is a tool for hiring, housing, lending or insurance decisions.
