Which Intelius alternative fits depends on what you have to start with. If you want another membership site with the same kind of US report, BeenVerified and TruthFinder are the closest matches, and Spokeo is the cheapest of the three at $19.95/mo as of September 2026. If you start from a username or an email, or want a free preview before paying, Revealer.US and Social Catfish fit better. Whitepages is the cheapest way to open a single report, and Pipl is an enterprise product with no consumer sign-up.
Disclosure up front: we build Revealer.US. Assume bias and check our work. Prices and features below are from each vendor's public pages as of September 2026.
Why people look for an Intelius alternative
Intelius is a membership people-search site owned by PeopleConnect, which also runs TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search. A name, phone, or address search is free. Opening any report needs a membership, and the Intelius help center says so directly.
As of September 2026, the Intelius pricing page lists a $0.95 five-day trial on Reverse Phone plus People Search that then bills $35.30/mo, a $0.95 seven-day trial on Address Lookup plus People Search that then bills $34.95/mo, and a People Search membership at $25.11/mo (or $21.35/mo billed every two months). Intelius bills every 30 days. Its billing policy says cancelling mid-cycle stops the next charge but does not refund the current one, "with few exceptions."
The other limit is geography. Intelius reports are compiled from US public records and the search form only accepts US states. If your subject lives abroad, or all you have is a handle, Intelius cannot help at any price.
If you want your own listing out, PeopleConnect runs a free suppression tool with email verification. Its page notes that suppression covers name-search results only, so your name may still appear in phone, address, or email reports.

How we compared
This is a criteria comparison built from each vendor's own public pages, not a lab test. We ran no paid searches on competitor products and report no hit counts. Seven criteria:
- What a search takes as input.
- What a free session shows before you pay.
- Cheapest published price to see a full result, and whether a trial converts.
- Refund and cancellation friction, per the vendor's billing pages.
- Whether an API exists.
- Coverage: US-only or wider.
- How you get your own information removed.
Where a vendor publishes no number, we say so instead of guessing.
The alternatives, one by one
1. Revealer.US
Revealer is the tool we build, so read this section with that in mind. It is a search layer over public and third-party sources it does not own. Every search runs live, in real time, at the moment you run it, against public sources and endpoints Revealer does not own, and Revealer does not retain your search data. Start from whatever you have: a username search across 800+ platforms, an email lookup, or a name through People Reveal. The same account includes a data breach lookup (email, username, phone, or domain) and, on Pro, full Device Exposures from infostealer logs. AI Deep Search chains those lookups for you.
Free plan: 10 social lookups, 10 breach lookups, and 50 people lookups a day, all as redacted previews, no card. Paid plans start at $12.99/mo (Starter), then Basic at $29.99/mo and Pro at $79.99/mo, which adds full Device Exposures (50 a day), 500 social lookups a day, unlimited breach lookups, and API access with three whitelisted IPs. Enterprise is contact sales with team seats.
Pros: username and email as starting points, breach context in the same account, a free redacted preview, and an API on Pro. No plan shows plaintext passwords or hashes.
Limits: Revealer is not a background check and does not compile criminal, court, or property records into a long report the way Intelius does. Removal is suppression, not deletion, because we hold none of the underlying data. A verified email is suppressed within 24 hours; usernames, phones, and names take a manual review of about four weeks via opt-out.
2. BeenVerified
BeenVerified is the closest structural match to Intelius: monthly membership, long reports, US only. Inputs are name, phone, email, address, VIN, and property, and every plan includes every data set.
Price as of September 2026: $36.89 for one month, or $23.98/mo if you pay $71.94 for three months. BeenVerified says it has no free trial but sells a paid 7-day trial (BeenVerified's own page describes $1 trials for new customers; the exact amount shows at checkout). Its billing FAQ says a subscription gives "a limited number of reports each billing period" and that it "only provide[s] information on US-based people."
Pros: full feature set on any plan, five documented ways to cancel, a satisfaction guarantee with refunds if a search disappoints, and a self-serve opt-out page.
Limits: the highest month-to-month price here, no username or image search, no API, and the same US-only ceiling as Intelius. More in BeenVerified alternatives.
3. TruthFinder
TruthFinder is Intelius' sibling under PeopleConnect: same suppression tool, similar report. Inputs are name, phone, address, and email. Its pricing page, dated September 2, 2026, lists People Search at $28.99/mo, Reverse Phone Lookup at $4.99/mo, Reverse Email Lookup at $29.73/mo, and a $4.99/mo add-on for PDF downloads and report monitoring. There is no free report.
Reports cover aliases, addresses, relatives, employment and education history, criminal and traffic records, assets, social and dating profiles, and usernames. Members also get Dark Web Monitoring for their own emails, passwords, and Social Security numbers.
Pros: the cheapest phone-only plan on this list at $4.99/mo, usernames and social profiles inside the report, and online cancellation.
Limits: TruthFinder's help center says it only provides public records on people living in the United States. No API. If you are leaving Intelius because of the membership model, TruthFinder is the same model with a different logo. More in TruthFinder alternatives.
4. Spokeo
Spokeo is the cheapest of the traditional membership sites. Its purchase page shows one month at $19.95/mo or three months at $14.95/mo (billed $44.85 every three months), with up to 100 reports a month. A free search shows city and state, age, relatives, and locations.
A standard membership covers name, phone, email, and address searches; the help center also lists username search for public social and dating profiles. Court and historical records are add-on purchases.
Pros: lowest entry price among the membership sites, username as an input, a free tier that confirms a person exists, and online cancellation.
Limits: the payment policy says all sales are final and non-refundable, and a trial converts unless you cancel before 11:59 PM Pacific on its last day. Coverage is US-focused and there is no consumer API.
5. Whitepages
Whitepages is a directory first and a report vendor second. Whitepages Premium, as of September 2026, starts at $5.99/mo for Premium Contact Info (20 lookups a month) and runs up to Premium Business All-Access at $35.99/mo, which adds 20 background reports. A one-time background report is $11.99. Every plan is cancel-anytime.
The background report covers phones, address history, relatives, bankruptcies, criminal history, and property ownership across all 50 states, labeled for personal use only and not FCRA compliant.
Pros: the cheapest single report here ($11.99, no membership), a developer product (Whitepages Pro API: 14-day trial of 50 queries, then $0.22 per query), and no trial that converts into a membership.
Limits: no username, email, or image search on the consumer side, lookup-capped contact plans, and US only.
6. Social Catfish
Social Catfish is built for verifying online identities, which makes it the closest match to Revealer's starting points. Inputs are name, email, phone, username, image, and address across what it describes as 200+ sources. A free search shows limited previews, such as a count of social accounts without the platforms behind them.
Pricing lives in its FAQ rather than on a pricing page, and the FAQ quotes more than one set of figures as of September 2026: $5.73 for five days then $27.48/mo (Social Search) and $5.99 for five days then $26.99/mo (Reverse Image Search) in one passage, and $6.48 to $6.87 for three days then $28.94 to $28.97 every 30 days in another. Expect the checkout figure to vary; in every version a small paid trial converts to a monthly plan.
Pros: reverse image search, username and email inputs, and listed coverage for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and 100+ other countries, a reach none of the membership sites above claim.
Limits: the paid trial converts, the social plan is capped at 100 searches a month, there is no API, and it does not compile criminal or property records. Its opt-out form promises removal within 15 days.
7. Pipl
Pipl is not a consumer product. It sells identity resolution to enterprise fraud and risk teams, with an identity graph it says spans five billion identities across 150+ countries. Inputs are email, phone, and other identity attributes, delivered through APIs. Pricing is contact sales; the site lists no rates, free trial, or individual sign-up.
Pros: international coverage, API-first design, and a product built for account-opening and transaction risk.
Limits: no individual sign-up and no public price. It is here because some people searching for sites like Intelius turn out to need an enterprise verification vendor.
Cheapest way to see a full result
The bars show each vendor's lowest published monthly price for a plan that opens full reports. Sub-$1 trials are left out because they convert to the monthly rate, and Pipl publishes no price.
The Whitepages bar is its contact-info plan; a full background report there is $11.99 one-time. The Intelius bar is its People Search membership; its trial bundles bill $34.95 to $35.30/mo after the first days. The Social Catfish bar uses the $27.48 Social Search figure from its FAQ.
Intelius vs BeenVerified

|---|---|---|
| Month-to-month price | $25.11/mo (People Search) | $36.89/mo |
| Cheaper term | $21.35/mo billed every 2 months | $23.98/mo billed every 3 months |
| Trial | $0.95 for 5 or 7 days on bundle plans | A paid 7-day trial (BeenVerified's own page describes $1 trials for new customers; the exact amount shows at checkout) |
| Report volume | Unlimited person and address reports | Limited number per billing period |
| Inputs | Name, phone, address | Name, phone, email, address, VIN |
| Refund | Mid-cycle cancellation not refunded, "with few exceptions" | Satisfaction guarantee, refund offered if dissatisfied |

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free Intelius alternative?
Not for full reports. Whitepages lists directory entries free and sells a one-time background report for $11.99; Spokeo's free search shows city, state, age, and relatives. Revealer's free plan gives 10 social, 10 breach, and 50 people lookups a day as redacted previews with no card.
What is the closest site like Intelius?
TruthFinder, which shares Intelius' parent company, suppression tool, and report style, at $28.99/mo as of September 2026. BeenVerified is the closest independent match at $36.89/mo, after a paid 7-day trial (BeenVerified's own page describes $1 trials for new customers; the exact amount shows at checkout).
How much does Intelius cost?
As of September 2026: People Search at $25.11/mo, or $21.35/mo billed every two months. Bundle plans start with a $0.95 trial for five or seven days and then bill $35.30/mo or $34.95/mo. Downloadable report files are a one-time $3.99.
Does Intelius work outside the United States?
No. Intelius reports are compiled from US public records and the search form only accepts US states. Social Catfish lists 100+ countries and Pipl 150+ (enterprise only). Revealer's username and email lookups are not limited to US subjects.
Which Intelius alternative lets me search by username or email?
Revealer (username across 800+ platforms, plus email), Social Catfish (username, email, image), Spokeo (email and username), BeenVerified (email), and TruthFinder (email). Intelius and Whitepages take name, phone, and address only.
If you need a long US background-style report every month, Intelius and TruthFinder do that job and Spokeo does it for less.
